BOWLS CLUB TREASURER

At the AGM last November, Ged Walmsley, our club Treasurer gave notice that he was prepared to serve just one further year of office, following which he wished to stand down and hand over the books to a successor. The role of Treasurer is the most important post in the club’s administration and Ged has served the club extremely well in that capacity for 12 years. Without doubt he will be a hard act to follow. The club therefore invites any member who would be prepared to offer their services as our new Treasurer to contact the Club Chair, Karen Dyson (Tel. 469606 or kdyson83@yahoo.com) or myself as soon as possible. If anyone wishes to discuss the role and find out what it entails before making any commitment, Ged would be more than pleased to talk to you, he can be contacted on Tel. 577808 or walmsleyged@hotmail.com. All members are urged to give this matter some careful thought. Under the Constitution we must have a Treasurer and it is a fact that without such a person in active post the club will not be able to function.
