GREEN UPDATE

It was a perfect day to Sorrell the green today. The green has had extensive aeration which should keep it healthy and well drained. The green is in good condition. We have had some bird damage on the edges which will require ongoing repair. This is despite several bird scarers dotted around the green! The plan is for Mike Bond to cut on Monday. We will cut twice in February and then slowly reduce the cut from 10mm. Several members have asked when the green will open. We are really reliant on the early spring weather. An update on the opening date will be made at the end of February when we will have a better idea weather wise. Rest assured we will open the green as early as possible so we all get that practice we all need! The weather will determine the date!
