AINSDALE A VETS BOWLING LEAGUE 2025

A Captain’s reflection:

The Vets A team have enjoyed a solid season, finishing a respectable 5th out of 12 in the first division.

A very promising start, saw us sitting in second place for most of the first half of the season. However, some enforced absences, and a slight loss of form, saw us fall a number of places, which we could never quite claw back.

I would like to thank all those individuals who stepped in at our time of need, and put in some strong cameos.

There have been some notable victories and team performances along the way. It’s difficult to name individuals, as each player has had their moment in the sun, and put in an outstanding performance at one time or another.

However the most rewarding thing for me, has been the team’s attitude. The camaraderie, the off green support, and the never-say-die frame of mind, which has driven some hard-earned results.

But it’s not all about winning, to borrow a quote: “We love the winning, we can take the losing, but most of all we love to play”

That’s the Vets A.
