AINSDALE MERIT COMPETITION

The Competition run on Saturday 7th September was a superb event run by Simon Biddolph & Gary Baker, with help from all present. An excellent days bowling, a great social atmosphere complete with a bar and a BBQ providing much appreciated refreshments, it was enjoyed by all the competitors and spectators alike; many thanks to Bill Makin for providing said BBQ…..£80 profit goes to the bowling club.

The worthy winner in the Trophy final was no other than Gary Baker himself, with Kenny Jackson coming in a very close runner-up. The consolation event was won by Simon Biddolph in another closely fought final with Graham Johnston. The winners and runners-up were awarded the trophies and cash prizes to mark their success.. Full credit to Simon, Rob, and Gary for their initiative in running the season long series of four successful events enjoyed by all who took part, it is hoped this will be the forerunner for many more successful events like this, next season and beyond.
