Southport Veterans League
With the season now almost over Ainsdale B have secured first place at the top of Division 3 of the Southport Vets League. Together with second place Sandbrook A we will once again be promoted to Division 2 and hope to consolidate our position there next season.

The Team demonstrated a solid performance throughout with notable individual performances by Tony Battle, Bill Makin and Trevor Dyson who finished 5th, 10th and 13th in the Divisional Averages respectively.

Early on in the season our long-standing captain, Harold Russell, had to retire through injury and ill-health. We thank him for the years he looked after the team. Another long-time team member, Colin Jacobs, also had to retire this season. In both Colin and Harold we lose two excellent, experienced bowlers. We wish them well and hope to see them back on the green next season.
