GREEN SWITCHING

We are now coming into the worm cast season and it is absolutely essential to make sure we are using the swishers to break up worm casts before practising or playing matches. If they aren’t broken down, the mower squashes them onto the green, smothering the grass and creating an ideal place for weed seeds to settle and germinate, not to mention extra debris the mower cylinder picks up which can actually cause some serious damage. The co-operation of everyone to help keeping our green in its present great condition would be very much appreciated.

On the advice of the green manager and following the memo to members re switching, will all team captains please ensure that the green is free from worm casts prior to pre match roll-up at the start of each home game. Your co-operation, with the assistance of other team members, will ensure the green is kept in top condition.
