LADIES SPRING PAIRS COMPETITION

The competition was hosted by the ladies section of Ainsdale Bowling Club on Thursday 25 April. There where 31 competing lady pairs from Ainsdale, Banks, Botanic Robins,Crossens,Hesketh Bank, Mere Brow, Tarleton and Victoria Park.

Congratulations to Pauline Rimmer and Pat Cropper from Crossens and Sylvia Bentham and Kath Watkinson from Tarleton and Mere Brow who shared the winning prizes of 1st and 2nd place as time ran out to fully complete the final game.

Congratulations also to runners up Carol Whittaker and Margaret Tinsley from Victoria Park and Val Gill and Lilian Bailey from Tarleton.

It was a lovely day enjoyed by everyone attending. We received very positive feedback on the green and its surroundings. A huge thanks goes to Gwen Clark and Pat White who ran the competition and did an excellent job.. Also to all our Ainsdale lady bowlers who attended and helped on the day by serving tea and cakes, washing up, marking, measuring, selling raffle tickets extra.

We raised £177.35 from the sale of raffle ticket, tea and cakes.
