MINUTES 7th March 2022

ABC COMMITTEE MEETING,
Venue Main Club, 9.30am Monday 7th March 2022.

Present: Brian Kneale, Karen Dyson (Vice Chair), Trevor Dyson, Ged Walmsley,
Sanny McCarter, Len Adams.

The minutes of 7th February 2022 were approved and signed by the Chairman.
MATTERS ARISING None
MAIN CLUB REPORT (BK)
• Further addition to the insurance claim expected. Eventual settlement to be dispersed on a pro-rata basis.
• Dispute with 3G over the use of the small changing room.
• Main Club AGM to be held on Sunday 3rd April.
TREASURERS REPORT (GW)
• All league registration fees now paid, covered by the CASC tax rebate. Anticipate this can be repeated in future years.
• Paving payments completed, replacement mower purchased, maintenance working float and all bank charges met.
• Allowing for all major works expenditure and with adequate green cutting throughout the season, providing no change in the sports levy, total budget requirements can be met from the current subscription.
Recommended & approved that the club subscription for 2022 remained at £70 for full members and £20 for social members. This represented 10 years since last increase.
GREEN MANAGER (SMcC)
• SMc gave notice to committee that he wished to resign as Green Manager at the end of the 2022 season.
• The sprinkler system to be turned on and the system checked for leaks.
• A. Church to review the treatment for leatherjackets and further moss treatment.
• Water leaks in the ladies’ toilet area now resolved.
• Faulty water heater in kitchen area has caused water damage and will be removed.
• Coaching to progress throughout April with several prospective new members already booked. Notice to be sent out to members inviting applications from family and friends who may be interested in coaching courses.
SMc & VMc have both renewed their Level 1 accreditation.
• Safeguarding info to be relayed to all team captains.
• Defibrillator warranty to be checked.
• Website requires input from members, team info etc.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Calendar
• Main events and Ladies’ Wednesday afternoon comps listed. Some dates still to be finalised and volunteer organisers required to run events.
To be completed at next meeting.
Men’s Social Bowling
• BK undertook to liaise with Messrs Fairhurst & Roberts re organising club social bowling, possibly on a regular basis. Details to be confirmed.
