2019 SUMMER NEWS LETTER

A number of items for your information.

MEN’S DAY OUT

To be held this year at the Scarisbrick Bowling Club, Falkland Road on Saturday 22nd June starting at 10am.

Tea/Coffee & biscuits will be available on arrival then a Sandwich Lunch followed by Mrs Riley’s famous Buffet at teatime, which will include a chicken curry for those wanting a little more spice with their meal.

All this, with your green fees paid and bowling all day to suit everyone, regardless of ability, for the miserly sum of £21. The entry list is up on the club notice board right now.

Numbers of those wishing to go are required by the end of next week,

MIXED DAY OUT

To be held once again at BAC Salmesbury Sports & Social Club on Sunday 28th July.

This is an annual event for all members, again regardless of bowling ability, to enjoy a fun day out with bowling in pleasant surroundings and full use of the Salmesbury club facilities.

There is an entry list up in the clubhouse for those wishing to attend, further details can be obtained from either Eunice or Hugh Collum, Tel. 575134

COACHING

Sanny McCarter and his coaching team will be holding another series of coaching sessions for new or prospective members on each Saturday morning in June from 10am until 11am.

If you have any friends or relatives, of any age, who might like to try their hand at crown green bowling, please contact Sanny on 576211.

CUPCAKE DAY

One of our Sponsors, Howard’s Funeral Care, is holding a fun day on Thursday 13th June at 82 Station Road from 10am till 2pm.

All proceeds raised are being donated to The Alzheimer’s Society. Everyone is welcome.

MAIN CLUB

The main club committee have again requested that members do not park on the grass verges at the site entrance and adjacent to the cricket scoreboard.

This is particularly important as clear vehicle access to the bowling green is vital in the event of an emergency.

There is also a reminder of the club’s licensing agreement which requires that only alcohol purchased from the club bar can be consumed on the premises.
