LADIES SPRING PAIRS COMPETITION
The Ladies Spring Pairs Competition took place at Ainsdale Bowling Club on Thursday the 13th April. Despite it being a very cold day Lady bowlers from Ainsdale, Banks, Botanic Robins, Crossens, Formby SSC, Hesketh and Victoria Park took part. Unfortunately due to time restraints the final did not take place, however the finalist, who were Noreen Lewis and Debbie Barnes from Hesketh and Margaret Tinsley and Carol Whittaker from Victoria Park agreed to share the prize money. Diane Suthern and Karen Dyson from Ainsdale reached the semi finals before being knocked out of the competition. An enjoyable day was had by all. I big thank you to Gwen Clark and Pat White for organising the competition, Margaret Jacques who help run it on the day and Val Priestner who work tirelessly throughout the day serving hot refreshments, We raised £106 on the raffle and £67.50 on refreshments. Again thanks to all who participated in making it a successful event.

Well done to Ainsdale Ladies for organising the competition, and to all Ladies who took part, sorry I could not help out as having problems with my right knee, glad you all enjoyed it , even though it was a very cold wind, and a Big well done to Karen and Diane to get to the semifinals,
